Elm Court Welcomes Local MP

The Trustees of Elm Court were delighted to welcome our local MP Oliver Dowden to the centre this morning to showcase all the wonderful user groups and facilities of the centre.

Oliver spent time talking to Children from Little Elms Montessori Nursery where many were having great fun in their mud kitchen!

Generation Plus Bridge were very welcoming and were kind enough to let us introduce them to Oliver whilst mid game. Thank you to their lovely instructor Ann who is always making sure everything is just right and rushing around running different groups in the area.

The centre has a great relationship with Services for Young People Hertfordshire who run termly projects for young people at the centre three evenings a week, utilising indoor and outdoor spaces. Oliver took time to speak to staff and ask about their projects.

Our Chairman Tom Shirley gave a lovely overview on the History of Elm Court and it's evolution through the ages. The photos were fantastic to see!

At the end of the tour Oliver took time to speak individually to trustees over a cup of tea and a biscuit.

We were pleased to also welcome Cllr Chris Gray and Cllr Abhishek Sachdev at the centre this morning and thank them for their continued support.

With over 25 weekly user groups and many more monthly groups to join the centre really does have something for everyone!
